the grand scheme of things

I hate that as human beings, we mess up. Perfection of course isn't an option, so messing up will become apart of everyday life. But if perfection wasn't set so high, when we messed up the fall would not hurt as much. But how would learning occur? We could take in what we are taught, but that requires trust. And as human beings we have shot trust in the foot with selfishness. Therefore we are too selfish to be perfect. Selflessness may be the trick, but are we willing to try? If we were willing to try, then why haven't we? We're too busy thinking of ourselves. You see in the grand scheme of things, a better world starts within yourself. You can't rely on others to get the job done for you, because they just might be relying on you.

If there is light in the soul,
There will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person,
There will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.
